The variables of Transition Action Detail Strategy
After reading some articles TAD Strategy, I will explain the example of the variables and explain the methodologies of in this research. There are two variables in this research. They are independent variable (X) and dependent variable (Y). The independent variable (X) is Transition Action Detail Strategy. It is a great way strategy that can help the students to estimates a scene in written form thier fiction or non-fiction event through sequence of events. It focus on important details about the writing their event or activity. So, the students starting form three steps, they are transition, introducing the action. Furthermore, describing action or event and the last is additional information about each action. The independent variable are variable (probably) cause, influence or effect outcome. They are also called treatment. The variables investigated are classified into independent and dependent variables.
Dependent variable and Independent variable
Then the dependent variable (Y) is the students’ narrative text writing ability. Dependent variables are variables that depend on the independent variable: they are the outcomes or results of the influence of the independent variable. Dependent variable in this research is narrative text writing ability (Y) includes content, organization, vocabulary, grammar and mechanic. It means that the students could make a narrative text based on the indicator of the writing. They are content, organization, vocabulary, grammar and mechanic. It is refers to the level of students’ ability in the narrative text. The Transition Action Detail Strategy could influence the student’s narrative writing ability was the students can organize to develop an idea, the students have a good vocabulary, the students can arrange a good sentence, a good mechanics. In this way, the students can construct a good text based on the indicator of writing. So, the indicator of narrative text writing ability in this research was the writer gives a pre – test and post – test to the students to make writing about narrative text.
The importance of applying Transition Action Detail Strategy is train the students to make correlated sentence among the paragraph. Because, this strategy is used to help the students identify the main idea and the related supporting ideas of the paragraph. It is a great way strategy that can help the students to estimates a scene in written form thier fiction or non-fiction event through sequence of events. It focus on important details about the writing their event or activity. Afterward, this strategy can aid the students in order to write narrative text with minimum of error. Narrative in writing is telling the sequence of event or chronological order. Sometime, the students looks so difficult to express in written form. Hopefully, through this strategy can aid the students to write a narrative text effectively and accurately.
Based on my experience the writer used the quantitative research. Quantitative research is the research by which the numeric data are used to find knowledge. This is experiment research by using true experimental design which consists of control group pre – test post – test design. It is the description and analysis of what would be or what will occur, under carefully controlled condition. Since it was a true experimental research which applying pre – test, post – test control group design the writer administered pre – test and post – test to both experimental and control group.
